think about the chef
who is preparing the state dinner.

to a guest appearance
in the White House kitchen?
Tonight, Bayless, who grew up at
his parent's barbecue restaurant,
is the guest chef
at the White House state dinner.
As the President and
First Lady welcome
the president of Mexico
and his wife,
Bayless is in
the belly of the White House.
The tables are set in
the East Room
for his four-course meal.
Bayless revealed to NPR it will
feature one of his signature dishes.
I'm going to be making a mole
and I think it's got
27, 28 different ingredients in it.
To compound
the complexity of that,
Bayless couldn't order
any of the ingredients himself.
It had to be done
by the White House
to be sure the food is safe
for the President.
