野菜嫌いの直し方

06/30/10

Onions don't have it easy.
They smell funny,
they make you cry;
the natural born enemy
of many vegetable-phobic kids.

If you are a banana or
a strawberry or a blueberry
or something
that kids actually eat readily,
it's not so hard to market to them.
But if you are an onion,
what do you do?

You call in a secret weapon.
They launched a national
marketing campaign
tied in with the new Shrek movie.
The committee estimates that
sales of Vidalia onions are up
50% this year.
Can one monster make
that much of a difference?

Do you like onions?

Uh...not really.

What if I told you that
Shrek likes onions.

銃規制に違憲判決

06/29/10

We begin with that pivotal ruling
on gun control in America.
In a five-to-four ruling,
the justices said no to
Chicago's strict ban on handguns,
saying Americans have
a right to bear arms.

Justice Samuel Alito announced
the Court's sweeping decision
declaring that
"self-defense is a basic right."
What that means is that
the justices have undermined
state and local gun bans and
restrictions across the country
and awarded a huge victory
to gun owners
and the National Rifle Association
by making the Second
Amendment right to bear arms
a private individual civil right.
The case came out of Chicago
where laws ban virtually all
private ownership of handguns.
That law is now doomed.

But everyone involved in the spill

It's still unclear

The UN Security Council

President Obama came to

the toughest sanctions ever
against Iran.

These sanctions show
the united view of
the international community
that a nuclear arms race in
the Middle East

A draft resolution

Unlike the three
previous sets of sanctions

there were two "no" votes
for these sanctions:
From US allies Turkey and Brazil.
And though these sanctions
may be the toughest yet,
few experts think they're tough
enough to change Iran's behavior.

Is this strong enough,

Jordin Sparks - Tattoo Lyrics

oh oh oh

No matter what you say about love

I keep coming back for more

Keep my hand in the fire

Sooner or later I get what I'm asking for

No matter what you say about life

I learn every time I bleed

The truth is a stranger

Soul is in danger I gotta let my spirit be free

To admit that I'm wrong and then change my mind

Sorry but I have to move on and leave you behind

I can't waste time so give it a moment

I realize nothings broken

No need to worry about everything I've done

Live every second like it was my last one

Don't look back got a new direction

I loved you once, needed protection

You're still a part of everything I do

You're on my heart just like a tattoo

Just like a tattoo

I'll always have you (I'll always have you)

Sick of playing all of these games

It's not about taking sides

When I looked in the mirror didn't deliver

It hurt enough to think that I could stop

Admit that I'm wrong and then change my mind

Sorry but I've gotta be strong and leave you behind

I can't waste time so give it a moment

I realize nothings broken

No need to worry about everything I've done

Live every second like it was my last one

Don't look back got a new direction

I loved you once, needed protection

You're still a part of everything I do

You're on my heart just like a tattoo

Just like a tattoo

I'll always have you (I'll always have you)

If I live every moment

Won't change any moment

There's still a part of me in you

I will never regret you

Still the memory of you

Marks everything I do, oh

I can't waste time so give it a moment

I realize nothings broken (yeah)

No need to worry about everything I've done

Live every second like it was my last one

Don't look back got a new direction (don't look back)

I loved you once, needed protection (no, no)

You're still a part of everything I do

You're on my heart just like a tattoo

I can't waste time so give it a moment (i can't waste time)

No need to worry about everything I've done (no need to worry)

Disgusting.
Look at that,

You want that in your backyard?

There is also confusion about

Floridians are out in force

But the state wants to stop that
to spare beachgoers
minor skin irritation and
perhaps panic.

Essentially if you see the stuff,
let somebody
who has already been trained to
pick it up pick it up instead of you.

So far, the only sign of that oil
on these beaches is this tarry goo.
But that main oil slick is
just a mile or two offshore.
And Floridians are anxiously
wondering when it will hit,
and how badly it will tar
the image of a state
whose main product is itself.
